The OnDeck Experience Strategy & Design team uses a human-centered approach to understand customer needs through qualitative and quantitative insights. We collaborate internally and with our customers to design and deliver valuable, end-to-end experiences.

The Graphic Designer is an integral part of the Design team, responsible for creating on-brand marketing assets and experiences. You’ll design both print and responsive web assets and understand best practices for each.

This role is an excellent growth opportunity for a print and digital designer that is interested in broadening their skill set to become a UX Designer.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
-Create compelling print and web assets that are on-brand and meet marketing/product objectives.
-Translate proposed marketing copy into effective designs by applying a robust understanding of information architecture and marketing/product objectives
-Participate in the creative brainstorming process with the team
-Further develop and maintain the brand aesthetic and design system for multiple channels and platforms
-Create pixel-perfect design files for implementation
-Integrating feedback in order to meet internal objectives
-Work independently, collaboratively, quickly and reliably in a fast-paced, creative environment

Qualifications for success:
-Bachelor’s degree (Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Advertising, Fine Art, or related field of study) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency
-Excellent understanding of graphic design, layout and typography. -You have a great design aesthetic. Your designs are simple, informative and filled with value.
-Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator)
-Exceptionally detail-oriented
-Experience with the full range of marketing graphic design needs, including print collateral, conference signage, digital advertising, web graphics, and infographics.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You listen well and can articulate your decision and design process. You are respectful when challenging assumptions and give and receive feedback with equal grace.
-Can estimate work, commit and deliver on deadlines and are vocal when risk arise
-A solid understanding of graphic design, and an interest in learning more about user-centered design, interaction design, user research, prototyping and designing end-to-end experiences

Preferred Qualifications:
-3+ years work experience is preferred 
-Experience with Sketch, InVision, Adobe Create Suite and/or Axure is a plus
-Knowledge of responsive and adaptive web design practices
Comfortable working in the Agile methodology
-Image retouching abilities are a bonus
-Curiosity that drives you to find new solutions instead of relying on existing patterns and mental model
